a) Set priorities and manage time to balance patient care, practice requirements, outside activities and personal life

1. Understanding health determinants

a) Identify the health needs of an individual patient and the role of cultural or socioeconomic factors play in chronic metabolic/endocrine diseases, such as diabetes, dyslipidemia, and obesity


2. Prevention counselling and use of prevention strategies

a) Identify opportunities for implementing preventive strategies, including lifestyle intervention (diet/activity) for chronic metabolic/endocrine diseases, such as diabetes, dyslipidemia, and obesity


Scholar


1. Personal learning (critical review of the literature)

a) Critically appraise retrieved evidence (original medical literature) in order to address one or more clinical questions in endocrinology

b) Integrate critical appraisal conclusions into clinical care of endocrine patients
